About The Position

Aquatech is a global leader in water purification systems technology, serving both industrial and infrastructure markets, with locations in the United States and internationally. We support our clients with sustainable water purification systems and technologies that are solving the world's water scarcity challenges. Aquatech has an immediate need for a full-time Accountant to work in our Canonsburg, PA office. The hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. The Accountant will perform the duties described in the job description below and will be considered an Exempt employee. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, a team player, and must also possess the ability to learn accounting software programs. Job Description: The Staff Accountant The Staff Accountant will complete day-to-day accounting operations and ensure accurate financial records. This role is ideal for an accounting professional who is looking to continue building a strong foundation in financial reporting, accounting operations and internal controls

Requirements

• Basic understanding of accounting principles GAAP or IFRS)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables and formulas a plus) and other Office 365 products
• Experience with accounting software or ERP systems is an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Good organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Exposure to ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite}
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
• 2 Years Accounting experince

Nice To Haves

• Internship or part-time experience in accounting or finance would be preferred

Responsibilities

• Preparing budget to actual variance reports
• Payment initiation
• Daily cash analysis and weekly cash forecast
• Sales and use tax support
• Create journal entries for payroll, inventory, and other misc.
• Maintaining depreciation schedule
• Complete account reconciliations for prepaids, cash, intercompany, and more
• Analyze variances and investigate discrepancies
• Participate in month-end and year-end close processes
• Assist in preparing financial statements and internal reports
• Assisting with lease accounting and recording entries
• Support audits by preparing documentation and responding to auditor requests
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures and internal controls
• Ad hoc accounting and finance projects
• Identify process improvements and assist with implementation
