About The Position

Responsible to load and post daily hotel sales activity into PMS system, review, and process AP, and assist with monthly accounting close processes and bank reconciliations.

  • Must have effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to apply common sense and professional understanding to conduct detailed written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems in diverse situations while keeping calm and composed control.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, advanced in Excel spreadsheet creation and formatting.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business with 1 year or more working experience in accounting or High school diploma/general education degree (GED) with 5 years or more working experience in accounting.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in M3 Accounting software or NetSuite is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Hotel daily activity – obtain all hotel daily reports, review and verify dollars and room count stats, rollover in PMS system, and post.
  • Review disbursements for proper GL coding.
  • Maintain and create vendor files.
  • Submit weekly disbursements report to Owners for approvals.
  • Process weekly disbursement file, submit corporate collections, submit funding wire.
  • Analyze expenses for monthly accruals needed and post journal entries.
  • Assist Senior Hotel Accountant with various monthly reconciliations such as prepaids, AR accounts, and other liability accounts.
  • Assist with monthly bank statements and record journal entries and manual checks.
  • Prepare documents for external auditors as needed.
  • Prepare annual 1099s.
  • Provide excellent customer service.
  • Other duties as assigned.
