We are seeking a highly skilled and solution-oriented business attorney with over 5 years of experience to join our legal team. This role will be responsible for providing legal advice to the Company’s parts and supplies business unit, along with other general business matters. The ideal candidate will be proactive, highly collaborative, and capable of managing multiple responsibilities in a dynamic and fast-paced environment

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from a recognized institution.
  • Over 5 years of experience practicing corporate law, commercial/procurement contracts, or a similar field, ideally in a firm or in-house environment.
  • Experience in drafting, negotiating, and advising on various types of contracts.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with a focus on compliance and risk mitigation.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior environmental/labor and employment experience is a plus but not required.
  • Employment law experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Providing legal advice to parts and supplies business unit and supporting other functional areas, including environmental and small labor and employment matters.
  • Drafting and reviewing contracts, including distribution agreements, supply agreements, master services agreements, staffing agreements, and other legal documents.
  • Negotiating contract terms with customers, vendors, and other parties.
  • Ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Identifying and mitigating potential legal risks within contractual agreements.
  • Resolving any contract-related disputes or issues.
  • Conducting legal research to support contract negotiations and development.
  • Building strong, effective relationships with the businesses to ensure productive working relationships.
