The automotive markets Holman serves include fleet management and leasing; vehicle fabrication and upfitting; component manufacturing and productivity solutions; powertrain distribution and logistics services; commercial and personal insurance and risk management; and retail automotive sales as one of the largest privately owned dealership groups in the United States. Principal Purpose of Position: Support and assist more senior Holman lawyers, in partnering with one or more Holman business units, such as Holman Fleet or function groups, such as Procurement (each a “Business Unit” or “BU”). Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and amendments with clients, suppliers, and other business partners. Field incoming support requests from Business Unit functions related to day-to-day operations, including contract inquiries, client or supplier disputes, collections matters, routine and non-standard document preparation, and the like. Research and analyze law for the preparation of legal memoranda. Support drafting, revision, and maintenance of standard contract templates, including development of new templates for newly created service programs. Support investigations, administrative proceedings, and litigation matters, under supervision of more senior Holman lawyers. Coordinate with outside counsel and other participants (internal, e.g., Holman Risk, or external, e.g., consulting experts) as directed. Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned.
