Requirements

  • 8–15 years in data engineering / data platform roles shipping production-grade pipelines.
  • Strong hands-on experience with: SQL (advanced) + performance-oriented data modeling Python (pipeline logic, automation; FastAPI is a plus) Airflow (or equivalent orchestration) including retries/backfills and dependency patterns Snowflake (query optimization, tasks/streams, Snowpipe, stored procedures) CDC / incremental loading patterns and operational handling of real-world edge cases AWS: S3, MWAA, Glue, Lambda, Step Functions, ECS, EMR (plus IAM basics)
  • Experience operating systems at scale with clear ownership, reliability mindset, and strong documentation.

  • Design systems that operate reliably at scale, supporting high-volume ingestion and multi‑tenant workloads
  • Build repeatable patterns for schema evolution, idempotency, deduplication, late-arriving data handling, backfills, and replay .
  • Implement Snowflake-side patterns: Snowpipe, Streams/Tasks, stored procedures , warehouse sizing, query tuning, and cost controls.
  • Define and enforce data contracts and data quality gates (validation rules, reconciliation, anomaly detection, auditability).
  • Drive operational excellence: dashboards, alerts, runbooks, incident analysis, and continuous improvements to reduce reruns and MTTR.
  • Collaborate with platform engineers to standardize onboarding patterns and create reusable framework components for teams adopting Data Platform.
