About The Position

We are hiring a Embedded Firmware Engineer to join our Cloud Software team, responsible for developing low‑level firmware and platform software for data center and cloud‑scale AI/compute systems. This role spans SoC bring‑up, platform firmware, performance, reliability, and large‑scale deployment enablement across next‑generation cloud hardware. You will work closely with hardware, system software, infrastructure, and validation teams to deliver production‑quality firmware that powers cloud inference and acceleration platforms at scale.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in firmware or low‑level system software development
  • Strong proficiency in C/C++ and scripting (Python, Bash)
  • Hands‑on experience with SoC bring‑up, hardware/software integration, and low-level debugging
  • Solid understanding of computer architecture, memory systems, interrupts, DMA, and interconnects
  • Experience working in Linux‑based environments
  • Ability to debug complex issues using JTAG, trace, logs, and firmware instrumentation
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.
  • 2+ years of experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
  • 1+ year of experience with debugging techniques.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with cloud or data‑center platforms
  • Familiarity with OpenBMC / IPMI / Redfish or other platform management stacks
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas: Boot loaders, secure boot, and firmware security Power management, thermal control, and RAS Platform performance tuning and stress testing CI, preflight, and automated testing for firmware
  • Exposure to AI accelerators, high‑performance interconnects, or multi‑device systems
  • Experience collaborating with hardware vendors, ODMs, or manufacturing partners

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain firmware and low‑level system software for cloud and data‑center platforms (SoC, board, and system level)
  • Own firmware components across boot, reset, debug, security, power, RAS, and platform services
  • Support platform bring‑up, board validation, and system integration in collaboration with hardware teams
  • Develop and debug firmware for BMC / OpenBMC, device firmware, and host‑interface firmware as applicable
  • Optimize firmware for performance, scalability, and reliability in large‑scale cloud deployments
  • Drive debuggability, testability, and CI enablement, including unit tests and automation
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams on architecture, design reviews, and root-cause analysis
  • Support customer and production issues, including field debugging and issue resolution
