About The Position

Braun Intertec is seeking an experienced Concrete Staff Engineer to join our Concrete Consulting group in our Chicago, IL office. This individual will help conduct consulting projects related to concrete materials and structures. Responsibilities: Conduct technical work on field and laboratory projects with oversight from senior staff Prepare proposals for consulting projects Project related responsibilities consist primarily of managing projects and conducting field and laboratory evaluations of concrete Act as the primary author of deliverables for projects or research Be actively involved in industry and professional associations Present locally at industry association meetings Travel up to 45% of time for projects work technical support Required Skills: Ability conduct technical field work. Ability to manage and mitigate risk in consulting projects Possess technical aptitude to solve technical issues where solutions are undefined in typical practice Able to interact with clients to help maintain project schedules and deliverables. Ability to work within a strong team environment Minimum Experience and Education: Bachelor’s degree in civil or related engineering or materials program required Engineering or materials science related research or consulting services experience Familiar with industry standard such as ACI or ASTM documents and committees Licensing or Certification requirements: EIT or ability to obtain within 1 year. Must have a valid driver’s license.
