As a Staff Firmware Engineer on our backend NAND Flash Controller Team, you will play a pivotal role in crafting high-performance controller firmware that redefines industry standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related area
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in embedded firmware development
• Proficiency in Python and other scripting languages
• Expertise with storage interfaces such as PCIe/NVMe, SATA, or SAS
• Proven ability to work independently and prioritize multiple priorities effectively

Nice To Haves

• Master’s degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience
• Experience in the storage industry, particularly with SSDs and non-volatile storage technologies
• Knowledge of AI code development and analysis tools like Tabnine and Claude Code
• Previous technical leadership or supervisory experience
• Strong understanding of system and media architecture for NAND flash technology

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement firmware for advanced NAND flash controllers and Solid State Drives (SSD)
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to compose, build, and test innovative firmware solutions
• Triage and debug issues, perform failure analysis, and file detailed bug reports
• Integrate firmware features with the latest NAND technology and backend ASIC HW architectures
• Lead and mentor engineers, encouraging a collaborative and inclusive work environment
