Organization: ABSMC-Ashby Campus Position Overview: Performs routine assignments and develops competence by performing structured work assignments. Accountable for the assessment, coordination delivery and evaluation of nursing care, including direct patient care, patient/family education and transitions of care. Delivers holistic and individualized care to all patients in assigned area. Develops, implements, manages/coordinates an optimal interdisciplinary plan of care that incorporates psychological, sociocultural, spiritual, economic, and life-style factors. Fosters and maintains collaborative relationships between patients, their family/support group, physicians, and other healthcare providers through timely and effective communications. Adheres to hospital polices, industry standards, best practices, and applicable laws/regulations and codes to promote a quality, highly reliable patient experience. Engages in continuous growth and development in professional nursing practice.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing Required
- Less than six (6) months of experience in area of specialty Required
- Registered Nurse - State Licensure - RN Required
- Basic Life Support Certification - BLS Required
- Demonstrates working knowledge of patient care techniques, medications, treatments and general health care procedures
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
- Ability to: provide basic patient care to a diverse patient population
- read/interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations
- write legibly and effectively present ideas, document activities
- demonstrate leadership abilities
- deal with problems involving several variables in situations where only limited standardization exist
