Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. One year or more of Medical/Surgical experience is preferred during the past two years. . Physical ability to perform all nursing duties. Provides direct and indirect patient care in the medical-surgical &/or transitional level care setting. The RN must be able to perform nursing services requiring technical and manual skills; with assessment skills and the ability to analyze, synthesize and evaluate data. Communicates with physicians/Nurse Director/co-workers, as appropriate about changes in patient’s clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Meets unit expectations and completed skills checklist for unit and all mandatory education programs and is an active participant in team nursing and/or total care nursing. This role includes that of Charge Nurse. Additionally, is able to perform general nursing duties in all departments with adequate supervision.
