About The Position

Utilizes nursing skills to determine the biophysical, psychosocial,
environmental, self-care, cultural, ethnic and spiritual and educational needs
of the patient/family/significant other to develop, implement and revise the
plan of care. In doing so, performs frequent and accurate assessments,
interprets and correlates findings, establishes plan of care and implements
short term goals. The nurse observes patient progress, records pertinent
observations, implements physician and nursing treatment plans and evaluates
outcomes.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
• Possesses a thorough knowledge of nursing principles as well as hospital policies and procedures
• Demonstrates ability to provide quality patient care
• Communicates and works effectively with people
• Possesses potential for leadership
• Possesses ability to assess patient's needs, i.e., clinical, teaching, mental and spiritual.
• Basic computer skills.
• ICU Tier 1: One-year critical care experience.
• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in State of South Carolina or have licensure from another state with application to South Carolina Board of Nursing for licensure with temporary permit.
• BLS current.
• ACLS required within 6 months.

Nice To Haves

• PALS certification preferred.
