About The Position
Serve as a staff physician/endocrinologist for NYU's Student Health Center (SHC) and provide high quality patient care and health education to a diverse University community.
Requirements
- M.D. or D.O. degree
- NY State medical license
- Board Certified in Endocrinology (Internal Medicine or Med/Peds)
- BLS certification
- 2 years clinical experience as a Physician in the field of Endocrinology
- Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration
- eligibility to obtain medical liability insurance
- Approval for clinical privileges by the Credentials Committee
- Excellent interpersonal, analytical, problem solving, and written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to interact with individuals at all levels and provide culturally sensitive and high quality clinical care
- Active engagement in life-long learning for clinical skills and doctor-patient relationship
- Must be well versed in quality data collection to ensure adequacy, accuracy and legitimacy of data in NYU systems and be able to strictly follow data privacy and security procedures for data handling and analysis to ensure adherence to legal and institutional standards
Nice To Haves
- Experience with gender-affirming care a plus.
- Experience working in a multi-specialty setting and/or Student Health practice setting helpful.
