About The Position

Staff, Localization Product Manager The Staff, Localization Product Manager drives globalization readiness across priority platforms within the Global Product organization, ensuring multilingual and AI-enabled experiences meet defined quality, compliance, and launch standards. This role defines enterprise language and AI governance frameworks and ensures they are operationalized at scale. This person will drive cross-functional alignment across Product, Engineering, Platform, and market stakeholders to ensure multilingual readiness is embedded into roadmaps, release processes, and platform capabilities. The role combines strategic product thinking with enterprise-level orchestration - translating market and linguistic requirements into scalable systems, measurable quality thresholds, and launch readiness criteria.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Linguistics, or related field and 7+ years of experience in Localization Program Management, Localization Strategy, Global Product Governance, or related area; or equivalent experience
  • Experience embedding localization or internationalization standards into product development lifecycles
  • Experience working with AI/MT systems, LLMs, or automated translation evaluation methodologies
  • Experience defining LQA programs or governance models for AI-enabled or multilingual content
  • Familiarity with TMS platforms, translation automation, or CI/CD-integrated localization systems
  • Experience operating across multiple international markets and navigating regulatory or compliance considerations
  • Demonstrated ability to translate strategic standards into actionable product requirements and influence enterprise platform or infrastructure roadmaps
  • Experience driving cross-functional alignment across Product, Engineering, and regional market stakeholders

Nice To Haves

  • Professional proficiency in Spanish strongly preferred
  • Experience building or scaling enterprise localization governance models
  • Experience in large-scale retail, marketplace, or eCommerce platforms
  • Advanced degree in a related field

Responsibilities

  • Define and evolve enterprise localization standards across platforms and content types
  • Establish risk-tiered localization and AI usage models based on product surface, regulatory exposure, and customer impact
  • Standardize terminology, quality expectations, and approval frameworks across markets
  • Embed multilingual governance requirements into product discovery, roadmap planning, and development milestones
  • Define and institutionalize multilingual launch readiness criteria, including measurable quality thresholds and market validation requirements
  • Integrate language and AI readiness controls into release processes and decision checkpoints
  • Partner with Product and Engineering to proactively identify and mitigate multilingual and AI-related risks
  • Drive cross-functional resolution of systemic localization issues impacting release timelines, customer experience, or compliance
  • Own AI/MT output quality standards and acceptance criteria for customer-facing experiences
  • Establish governance frameworks for AI-generated content, defining release criteria and human review requirements aligned to risk and regulatory exposure
  • Partner with Platform Product, Engineering, and Data Science to design evaluation benchmarks, monitoring mechanisms, and feedback loops
  • Translate AI quality insights and defect trends into prioritized platform enhancements
  • Convert governance standards into clear, testable product requirements for localization infrastructure and tooling
  • Provide data-driven prioritization input into Platform roadmap decisions
  • Ensure platform capabilities support scalable, compliant, multilingual releases
  • Partner with market teams and linguistic experts to incorporate market-specific business, regulatory, and language requirements into enterprise standards
  • Align on launch readiness validation prior to release
  • Establish structured feedback loops to capture in-market quality signals and systemic language issues
  • Lead cross-market quality reviews and coordinate systemic remediation efforts
