Your Opportunity Cottonwood Heights, Utah Stantec’s Mountain Region is looking for a Staff Project Engineer/Geologist/Scientist for our Environmental Services Group. This position will be based out of our Cottonwood Heights, Utah office. The role as a Staff Project Engineer/Geologist/Scientist is to perform field and task management duties associated with environmental permitting, hydrologic and hydrogeological studies, subsurface investigations, remediation, and monitoring projects; sampling of soil, sediment, surface water, and groundwater; oversight of subcontractors; production of maps; data interpretation/evaluation and deliverable preparation. Approximately 50% office to 50% field working primarily with a confidential client located in northern Utah. The majority of field work will be performed during summer months (April-October) with reporting activities performed during the winter months. This position will be a mix of field and desktop work. Our Cottonwood Heights Environmental Services team generally works remotely and meets frequently; however, an office desk is available if preferred. Because of this, the successful candidate will be expected to reside within a reasonable commuting distance to Cottonwood Heights. Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
