About The Position

Plans, organizes, coordinates and provides direct nursing care for an identified group of patients according to specific standards.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required
• Current unrestricted Wisconsin RN license required
• Excellent customer service, critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills required
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required

Nice To Haves

• One year experience in Medical Surgical nursing preferred
• Critical Care -- At least one year experience in Med/Surg required. Prefer experience in ER, and/or CCU nursing. ACLS required within first year of hire.
• Emergency Services -- At least one year experience in Med/Surg required. Would consider new graduates with Paramedic experience only. ACLS required withing first year of hire. PALS and TNCC preferred.
• Women's and Children's Center -- None required. Prefer one year experience in Med/Surg, Pediatric and/or OB nursing. NRP certification required within first year of hire.
• Specialty Float -- At least one year experience in Med/Surg required. ER &/or CCU experience preferred. Will float between CCU, ER, and PACU. ACLS required within first year of hire.
• General Float -- At least one year experience in Med/Surg required. Will float between Med/Surg, Surgery Center and Post Partum.
• Prep & Holding/PACU -- Prefer at least two years experience in CCU, Cardiac Rehab, ER, or in Surgical Services nursing. ACLS required within first year of hire.
• Surgery Center/Special Procedures -- Prefer two years experience in Med/Surg and/or Ortho nursing. Ambulatory Per-Anesthesia nursing certificate and ACLS preferred.
• Surgical Services: Operating Room -- None required. Prefer two to three years experience in Surgical/Ortho and/or Operating Room nursing. Operating Room Nurse certificate preferred.
• Cancer Center – A minimum of 2 years of RN experience required. Preferred experience in Med/Surg and/or Oncology is preferred. American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 30 days of hire.
