About the role: We are looking for a Staff Software Engineer to join our team and help us develop the core systems powering our clinical research. You will work closely with a talented product and data science team, stay up-to-date with the latest technologies, and contribute to a fast-paced, innovative environment. The ideal candidate for this role should be able to deliver across the tech stack and is eager to learn and apply new techniques and technologies. Where you will work: This role will be based in our New York City office (in the Financial District). You must be willing to work in the office 3 days per week on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

Requirements

  • 7+ years hands-on work delivering full-stack software
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to clearly communicate design rationale and concepts
  • Familiarity with Python, React, NodeJS, Docker, and AWS
  • Excellent understanding of SQL and data modeling
  • Familiarity building scalable data pipelines, query optimization, data modeling, and defining reusable datasets
  • Experience working in a team using agile methodologies and fluency with the agile toolkit
  • Experience mentoring team members and acting as a technical multiplier
  • A willingness to “roll up your sleeves” and do whatever is necessary to ensure company success
  • A desire to be a part of a high-performing, mission-driven team that operates with intense urgency, a strong sense of individual accountability, and a commitment to authentic feedback
