  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in reliability engineering, preferably in high-energy physics applications, RF engineering, X-Ray Source technology, or related fields.
  • Proficiency in root cause analysis, FMEA, statistical analysis, and reliability prediction methodologies.
  • Hands-on experience troubleshooting mechanical, electromechanical, and electrical systems.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across diverse teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects while adhering to deadlines.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree or higher, or 10+ years of industry experience.
  • Familiarity with reliability software packages and statistical tools.
  • Proficiency in parametric and non-parametric reliability analysis involving large datasets.
  • Experience in Design for Manufacturing (DFM) analysis and implementation.
  • Capable of reading and interpreting mechanical and electrical drawings.

Responsibilities

  • Reliability and Quality Analysis Conduct thorough assessments of the X-Ray Source's reliability to identify areas for improvement.
  • Build and maintain statistical models (e.g., Weibull analysis) to evaluate system-level reliability and performance trends.
  • Develop closed-loop statistical models to correlate design, manufacturing, and field performance for improved product quality and reliability.
  • Data-Driven Improvements Analyze production and field data to identify trends, failure modes, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Design and execute optimized experiments (DOE) to test hypotheses and validate reliability improvements.
  • Implement strategies to enhance the X-Ray Source's performance, reduce failures, and extend operational lifetime.
  • Hands-On Troubleshooting Work directly with mechanical, electromechanical, and electrical systems to diagnose and resolve issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address reliability concerns and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaboration and Influence Partner with engineering, manufacturing, quality assurance, and field service teams to drive quality and reliability improvements.
  • Act as a subject matter expert, providing training and guidance to internal stakeholders.
  • Influence diverse teams to adopt best practices and improve product quality.
  • Documentation and Reporting Maintain detailed documentation, including failure analysis reports, test results, and reliability improvement plans.
  • Ensure compliance with quality management systems (QMS) and relevant standards such as ISO 9001.
  • Industry Knowledge and Best Practices Stay updated on industry trends, advancements, and best practices related to X-Ray Source technology and reliability engineering.
  • Extend reliability engineering principles to the system level, providing general product support beyond the X-Ray Source.
