The work location of this role is hybrid, meaning it will be performed both from home and from a LinkedIn office on select days, as determined by the business needs of the team. This role will be based in Mountain View, CA. LinkedIn’s Flagship engineering organization is at the heart of our mission and we are looking for a Staff Technical Program Manager to join our team and drive product and technology programs. LinkedIn’s Flagship team includes content experience, homepage, feed, profile, search, messaging, notifications, network growth, acquisition and segments. In this role, the candidate will manage high-priority, high-profile programs that span across Product, Engineering, User Experience, Data Science, Biz Ops and AI. Successful candidates will have a proven track record of program management and will have demonstrated leadership, organizational and communication skills. In addition, the right candidate will possess business strategy sense, product intuition and technical understanding to fully integrate with product development teams and contribute at any level of depth.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of full-time technical program management experience in a software engineering organization managing programs at scale or equivalent experience.
  • B.S. degree or equivalent in a technical field
  • Experience with AI systems and Generative AI

Nice To Haves

  • Have worked on large consumer products initiatives
  • Understanding of AI technologies including LLMs, agentic workflows, model evaluation frameworks and cloud-based AI infrastructure
  • Experience leveraging AI for automation, efficiency and productivity gains
  • 2+ years of hands-on software development experience
  • Possess business strategy sense, product intuition, program sense, demonstrated technical understanding to fully integrate with product development teams and contribute at any level of depth
  • Experience in working in complex technical ecosystems and has adequate technical depth
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle and processes
  • Ability to quickly adapt to faster pace, shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities

Responsibilities

  • Deliver cross-functional programs in LinkedIn’s Flagship product
  • Develop strong partnerships with engineering and product management leaders to drive focus on strategic and tactical program objectives
  • Drive teams and individuals in planning and executing roadmaps, releases, and work backlogs
  • Identify risks, resolve key program conflicts, and establish appropriate resolution paths
  • Communicate program status, risks, issues, and mitigation plans
  • Create a collaborative work environment that fosters shared understanding, transparency, mastery, autonomy, innovation and continuous learning
  • Coach and mentor others in the best practices of modern planning and execution

Benefits

  • The pay range for this role is $139,000 to $229,000.
  • Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location.
  • This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
  • The total compensation package for this position may also include annual performance bonus, stock, benefits and/or other applicable incentive compensation plans.
