About The Position

The Staff Trainer for our Quality Assurance department assists with coordinating, developing and facilitating required trainings and general professional development trainings. Ensures compliance with regulations through ongoing staff development.

Requirements

Extensive training experience and knowledge of OPWDD programs/services.
Bachelor’s Degree in the Human Service Field preferred.
Strong use of PowerPoint and/or similar programs and tools.
Strong presence and facilitation skills to deliver trainings to staff of various organizational levels.
Ability to manage a variety of projects simultaneously and effectively.
Ability to remain flexible and adapt to shifting agency needs.
Ability to work independently as well as cooperatively with colleagues.
Ability to articulate technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
Ability to handle multiple and simultaneous tasks and know how to prioritize and communicate changes early and often.

Responsibilities

Conduct agency wide trainings, including Orientation, SCIP-R, First-Aid/CPR, OSHA, CPI-2, Individual’s Rights, Abuse/Neglect/Incident Reporting, Compliance and Sexual Harassment.
Participant in the development, presentation and tracking of OPWDD and other required training.
Participate in coordination and scheduling trainings agency wide.
Maintain current training certifications.
Maintain/generate online training records and ensure accuracy as needed.
Work with Quality Assurance team to meet OPWDD regulation changes and make necessary agency policy adjustments.
Punctuality and regular attendance is expected.
Maintain individual/family confidentiality.

Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors and/or senior management.
