About The Position

At Collibra, we help organizations trust, understand, and activate their data. As a Staff User Experience Designer, you’ll shape the UX of Collibra’s core product areas, tackling complex, enterprise workflows and bringing clarity to ambiguity. This is a senior individual contributor role for a designer who leads through influence—driving UX architecture, strategic problem solving, and cross-functional alignment without people management. Staff UX Designers at Collibra are responsible for Operating across multiple core product areas, balancing immediate business needs with long-term experience quality Leading high-impact design initiatives, including greenfield work, from problem framing through delivery Defining and evolving UX architecture, interaction models, and workflows for complex product areas Partnering closely with Product, Engineering, Research, and Content to align teams around clear UX direction Providing design leadership and guidance to teams that need additional expertise or support Shaping goals, success metrics, and outcomes tied to real customer and business impact Connecting experiences across core product areas to improve coherence, usability, and consistency Driving stronger cross-functional collaboration by navigating tradeoffs and conflicting priorities Applying a broad range of UX methods to reduce ambiguity and improve decision-making Mentoring and supporting other designers, contributing to higher overall design quality

Requirements

  • 8–12+ years of experience in product or UX design for enterprise or technically complex products
  • Deep experience designing complex software and influencing outcomes at scale
  • A portfolio showing end-to-end ownership of impactful work, including UX architecture and strategic problem solving
  • Mastery of multiple UX methods (e.g., information architecture, journey mapping, prototyping, usability testing)
  • Strong working knowledge of large, modular products and the ability to contribute across product areas
  • Proven ability to influence product direction without formal authority
  • High proficiency with modern design tools (e.g., Figma) in agile, cross-functional environments
  • Because this role supports the US government, it is required that this candidate be a US citizen who resides on US soil
  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent related working experience is required
