About The Position

You will serve on a team whose job is to help Palmetto Dunes Oceanfront Resort engage with all its audiences who want to create a memorable golf experience at the Resort. You will contribute to the success of the Resort by moving individual and groups of golfers, of various skill levels, around the course in accordance with pace of play standards. By supporting our company's Noble Purpose, your top priority will be to "care about our guests, and the impact you make on their lives."

Requirements

General knowledge of the golf course he/she is assigned.
High School Diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

Introduce yourself and create good rapport with all patrons.
Greet all members and guests in a friendly and service-oriented manner.
Display a positive, friendly, outgoing attitude that welcomes guest. When interacting with each guest, leave them with a "WOW" story to tell about their experience.
Share customer impact stories with your team in meetings and with management.
Maintain a professional attitude and appearance (golf attire), striving for complete customer satisfaction.
Exemplify world-class guest services providing excellent customer service and being attentive to guest needs ensuring guest satisfaction.
Maintain calm guest-centric demeanor during stressful and busy periods.
Communicate effectively and cooperatively with resort team members (sales, food and beverage, guest services, maintenance).
Establish and enforce cart rules.
Respond to myriad of guest request.
Provide insider information that will help guests play the course, i.e. yardage markers measured to the center of the green, cart path rules, location of water and restrooms.
Discuss player skill and match player’s skills to appropriate tees.
Tee people off in an organized and timely manner according to scheduled tee-time, recording precise tee time of departure and inform players of this time, along with pace of play expectations.
Assist with charity hole operations.
Replenish sand bottles on tee boxes of all par 3’s and sand station at #9.
Keep golf shop informed on the turn times.
Maintain clean, orderly appearance of the first tee.
Monitor pace of play and address problem groups always in a positive, courteous fashion.
Check player’s receipt to be sure he has checked in. Record cart and numbers of players.
Must be able to lift 20 pounds as required to replenish the driving range.
Other duties as assigned.
