About The Position

About HealthMatch We connect patients with clinical trials using technology. 80% of trials are delayed because they can’t recruit enough participants. We fix that. Over 2M patients in our database, a team of less than 20, and a model that’s working. We’re scaling, and we need one more versatile person who can tackle almost anything. This is not a specialist job We’re not hiring a marketer. Or an ops person. Or an analyst. We’re hiring a startup generalist - someone who can move between growth, operations, analytics, and building tech solutions in the same week. Often on the same day. Your job is to solve problems. Some of them will require outreach and relationship-building. Others will require digging through data and building dashboards. Others will require you to vibe-code a workflow that automates something the team has been doing manually. The common thread: you figure out what needs to happen, you do it, and you make it better next time. Problems You’ll Tackle From Day One Affiliate growth: How do we find and recruit more affiliate marketing partners to drive patient sign-ups? How do we identify existing partners who could be getting better results? Research, analyze, build, impact. Database engagement: We have 2M+ patients who go dormant between trials. How do we segment them, re-engage them, and keep them warm so they’re ready when a relevant trial opens? Automated reporting: Before every customer meeting, someone pulls data and builds a report manually. Build a system that does it automatically. AI, APIs, whatever works. Whatever else comes up: At a startup this size, you’ll get pulled into anything that matters. That’s the point. About You 0-2 years of work experience. We care about what you can do, not how long you’ve been doing it. High raw horsepower. You were the person who was always doing more than everyone else around you. You’re leaving (or choosing not to enter) a more traditional career pathway for a preference to learn fast, build, and have fun with a small team. Analytically strong. You’re comfortable in spreadsheets and can learn SQL, BI tools, and data pipelines without hand-holding. Tech-curious and AI-native. You’ve already built something with AI tools (even if it’s a side project). You think in terms of automation, not manual process. A strong communicator. You can write a compelling email, build a clear report, and present a recommendation to senior leadership. Self-directed. You don’t wait for instructions. When something’s broken or missing, you fix it or build it. What’s Hard About This Job There’s no playbook. You’ll get thrown at problems with minimal context and be expected to figure it out. Some weeks you’re on the phone recruiting partners, other weeks you’re knee-deep in data, other weeks you’re building an automation workflow. If you need a structured career ladder, a clear job description, and someone to tell you what to do each morning — this isn’t for you. On top of this, you’ll need to collaborate with a team split between the East Coast and Sydney, and the timezone challenges that come with that. If the idea of owning real problems at a company that’s actually changing healthcare excites you more than it scares you, we should talk. What’s On Offer
