About The Position

State and Local Government Consultant - Albany, NY Job Family: Management Consulting Travel Required: Up to 50% Clearance Required: None What You Will Do: Establishing approaches to gather information from clients regarding client structure, process, technology and culture Facilitating meetings with client stakeholders to gather information Identifying and implementing overall program improvements for clients Effectively leveraging project resources to accomplish tasks while providing regular feedback and coaching Driving business development activities including RFP responses and proposal development Ability to lead account planning and target new business opportunities that support relevant practice development goals and objectives What You Will Need: Critical thinking to solve problems and develop innovative solutions to client’s management and operational challenges Minimum of 3+ (THREE) years of overall work experience, ideally within State and Local Government Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college/university Familiarity with New York State Government practices Strong professional network and/or experience in state and local government in Albany, New York market Must currently reside within a reasonable number of miles (50-60) of Albany, New York Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel Excellent oral and written communication skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Experience managing projects and junior & mid-level staff Ability to travel to client locations, GH Office locations and as needed to support business development activities within and outside of the Albany, NY market What Would Be Nice To Have: Master's Degree - MBA (preferred), or MPP, MPA (or equivalent) Experience managing challenging projects and serving clients Experience facilitating meetings and public speaking with large groups Management consulting skills such as project management, financial modeling, operational modeling, and stakeholder management The annual salary range for this position is $98,000.00-$163,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Requirements
