Job Summary: We are seeking a self-motivated Statistical Data Analyst with experience employing advanced statistical methods and data visualization tools to uncover patterns and trends to provide technical and analytic support to a small, high-impact team. The role will involve analyzing data, developing predictive models, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Requirements

  • TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph is required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field, such as Statistics, Behavioral or Social Science with 8 – 12 years of relevant experience or a Master’s 6 – 10 years in a relevant field, such as Statistics, Behavioral or Social Science.
  • Experience with statistical modeling: Poisson Distribution (or count-based models), time-series or panel/ tabular data, specifically with spatial-temporal dimensions, and Predictive and Regression modeling.
  • Demonstrated experience leveraging data visualization tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau or Power BI)
  • Knowledge of all-source intelligence, including SIGINT, and/or HUMINT collection reports.
  • Familiarity with conveying the results of statistical analysis to both academic and general audiences.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with R or Python.
  • Experience with statistical software tools (e.g., SPSS, STATA, or SAS).
  • Familiarity with cable writing styles and classified client databases, including specific targeting tools.
  • Experience with producing Finished Intelligence or structured threat assessments.
  • Familiarity with key US foreign policy, national security Counterterrorism (CT) and local/federal law enforcement objectives or threat-related datasets.
  • Knowledge of IC policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Data Scientists and Intelligence Analysts to build basic statistical models, test hypotheses, and interpret, summarize, visualize, and succinctly report data findings.
  • Analyze large, complex data sets to extract meaningful and actionable insights.
  • Create compelling data visualizations that effectively communicate complex insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Present findings and strategic recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner.
  • Analyze crime, terrorism, and national security datasets to identify signals and patterns, produce structured threat assessments and Finished Intelligence.
  • Field data support requests from Intelligence Analysts and ensure proper data utilization in intelligence products.
