About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Manager to oversee daily operations of a hospital-based Central Sterile Processing (CSP) department in Tamarac, Florida. This leadership role supports surgical services by ensuring proper instrument processing, sterilization compliance, and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate brings strong acute care sterile processing experience, prior supervisory leadership, and a solid understanding of regulatory and accreditation standards.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Certification from an approved sterile processing technical program (CRCST, CBSPD, or equivalent).
  • Minimum of 3–5 years sterile processing experience in an acute care setting.
  • Prior lead or supervisory experience in acute care sterile processing.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (within required timeframe).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting high-volume surgical services.
  • Strong knowledge of accreditation and infection prevention standards.
  • Demonstrated leadership and staff development skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and oversight of sterile processing department operations.
  • Supervise and develop sterile processing technicians and support staff.
  • Ensure compliance with infection prevention standards, accreditation requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Oversee decontamination, assembly, sterilization, and distribution of surgical instruments and supplies.
  • Assist in the development, review, and revision of department policies and procedures.
  • Monitor quality assurance measures and maintain documentation accuracy.
  • Collaborate with surgical services leadership to support case flow and instrument availability.
  • Ensure proper maintenance and functionality of sterilization equipment.
  • Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
