About The Position

Maintains sanitation of Jack Binion Steakhouse, EDR and Main Kitchen areas and equipment by: washing dishes, pots, mopping floors, disposing of garbage and grease, and performing general cleaning duties. Responsible for cleaning and maintaining all bar areas; including floors, walls, drains and equipment. Cleans Starbucks's area.

Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to write simple correspondence.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Must be able to maneuver to all areas of the casino
Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds
Must be able to bend, reach, kneel, twist and grip items while working at assigned desk area.
Must have the manual dexterity and coordination to operate office equipment, including a 10 key adding machine, PC computers, fax machine, and photocopier.
Must be able to work at a fast pace and in stressful situations.
Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.

Responsibilities

Sets up work area at the beginning of the shift.
Maintains par levels of dinnerware, glassware, silverware, condiments, and all other items.
Breaks down all trays of dirty dishes brought from the dining room.
Removes all bagged dirty linen and replaces the linen.
Carries dirty dishes from the breakdown area to the dishwashing area.
Cleans all bar areas, including bar tops, equipment, floors, and floor drains.
Cleans Starbuck's area, including counters, floors, walls and drains.
Works well with all other restaurant employees to promote a teamwork oriented atmosphere.
Displays an energetic attitude while working with guests and employees.
Maintains appearance and organization of the back line, ensuring that the service coolers are cleaned and supplied.
Maintains standards set by management in scraping, racking, stacking, and washing of china, glassware, and silver.
Uses proper procedures when signing in/out or clocking in/out for his/her shift and allowed breaks.
Is responsible for keeping work area clean and sanitary
Carries pans, kettles and trays of food to and from workstations, stove and refrigerator.
Cleans work areas, equipment and utensils, segregates and removes garbage, and steam cleans or hoses garbage containers.
Supports and maintains Horseshoe guidelines
Promotes outstanding guest relations.
Responds to and consistently meets the needs of internal clients. Identifies ways to increase efficiencies or improve product or service.
Delivers assignments/projects on time and completes all aspects before delivering to internal clients.
