Haverford Township is seeking a mission‑driven Part‑Time Stewardship Coordinator to help care for our parks, trails, and natural lands while inspiring community members to get involved. This role blends hands‑on ecological fieldwork with volunteer leadership, project coordination, and public engagement—perfect for someone who loves being outdoors, values environmental stewardship, and thrives in a collaborative team setting. This is a part‑time position working four days per week, typically 8:00 AM ~ 3:30 PM, for up to 29 hours per week. Attendance at Fall/Spring Planting Days and special programming events is required. The Stewardship Coordinator supports Township-wide open space management and leads volunteer environmental stewardship efforts. This position plays a key role in maintaining healthy natural areas, restoring habitats, and engaging residents in meaningful conservation work. Daily responsibilities range from invasive species removal and trail maintenance to planning volunteer events and implementing site-specific land care plans. You’ll work closely with Park Maintenance, Parks & Recreation, and Public Works staff, and interact regularly with residents, volunteers, and community partners.
