The primary responsibility of the Stockroom Attendant position is to stock, monitor, and distribute inventory. The individual must be able to work under moderate supervision and is responsible for the accuracy and competency in part sizing, cycle-counting, and data entry. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Adhere to established safety procedures and 5”S” standards (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Stock or stack parts into the stockroom, count and verify part numbers with final inspection paperwork. Ensure the Identification tag is attached with the part number and quantity. Pull small parts (Consolidated Pick List) for assembly daily and places parts on the designated assembly trucks using accuracy and speed to assure daily build plans. Prepare spare kits (i.e. Gasket Seal Kits, Balled Pitman Arms Kits, etc) by accurately pulling parts by part number, quantity and visual inspection. Pack properly and identify kit with a package label. Report major breakdowns to the proper personnel to minimize downtime. Maintain inventories, return parts for restocking; cycle-count parts with a high degree of accuracy, reconcile parts and adjust as required. Ensure proper fits are achieved during daily build schedules. Problems with sizing should be communicated immediately to appropriate supervision. Input data into the computer mainframe such as inventory transactions (in and out of stock), receiving and labels for spare part orders. Other duties as assigned. WORKING ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS: May be exposed to moderate heat, light dust, fumes, extreme temperatures, noise and hazards such as electrical shock or gases. Some outside assignments could involve exposure to adverse weather conditions. Adequate hearing protection is required for 85 decibels and above. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
