The Stockroom Supervisor is responsible for leading stockroom, receiving, drop ship, and warehousing operations in support of production. This role provides direct leadership to stockroom functional leads and their teams, ensuring material availability, strong workforce performance, inventory accuracy, and disciplined execution of warehouse processes. The Stockroom Supervisor is accountable for maintaining an organized, efficient, and ISO- and 5S-compliant operation that supports production requirements and internal service expectations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in a stockroom environment.
  • Prior supervisory experience required.
  • Demonstrated experience leading teams in stockroom, receiving, warehousing, or related materials functions.
  • Strong working knowledge of inventory control practices, cycle counting, material handling, and warehouse operations.
  • Experience using an ERP system in a materials or warehouse environment; IFS experience preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced production support environment.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily stockroom, receiving, and warehousing operations to support production material requirements.
  • Lead, coach, and develop direct reports and department personnel across receiving, order fulfillment, UPS shipping, expediting, cycle counting, and material handling functions.
  • Establish clear priorities, assign work, monitor performance, and maintain accountability across approximately 20 employees through functional leads.
  • Ensure material readiness to support production schedules and operational demand.
  • Drive inventory accuracy through strong location control, cycle count execution, process adherence, and issue resolution.
  • Promote disciplined transaction execution in IFS for receipts, put-away, transfers, issues, adjustments, and inventory movements.
  • Coordinate with supply chain, production, planning, purchasing, and other cross-functional teams to resolve material shortages, discrepancies, and flow constraints.
  • Maintain stockroom and warehouse organization, housekeeping, and visual control standards in alignment with 5S expectations.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety requirements, and ISO- and 5S-related procedures and standards.
  • Support root cause analysis and corrective actions related to inventory variances, material handling issues, and process breakdowns.
  • Monitor department workload, staffing utilization, and workflow effectiveness to improve service, responsiveness, and productivity.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on material flow, storage practices, accuracy, operational efficiency, and 5S sustainment.
  • Participate in audits, physical inventories, and process reviews as required.
