About The Position

Vivobarefoot is opening a brand new flagship store in SoHo, New York and we’re looking for an experienced Store Manager to bring it to life from the ground up. As Store Manager you will lead a high‑performing team and create a truly human retail experience for every customer one that feels grounded, sensory, and community‑powered. At Vivobarefoot, we want to reconnect people with natural movement. We challenge the status quo of footwear, champion natural movement, and tread as lightly as possible on the planet. Our stores are not just places to shop they’re places to learn, feel, connect and experience what it truly means to live barefoot.

Requirements

  • Five + years of retail leadership experience, ideally as a store manager in a high traffic or flagship environment
  • Demonstrated experience of building and leading a high performing retail teams
  • Experience owning or influencing store P&L, labour planning and commercial decision making
  • Passionate about fitness, health, wellbeing and natural movement
  • Flexibility to work between 10:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m., with availability for shift scheduling seven days a week. Store hours may vary according to business needs. Able to work approximately 40 hours per week, including one weekend day
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office) and familiarity with POS systems and retail technology
  • 0 - 10% travel out of state & international travel
  • Ability to Stand/Walk for Extended Periods: Ability to stand and move for an entire shift, must be capable of remaining on the sales floor and actively engaging with customers throughout shifts.
  • Must be able to safely lift boxes and packages weighing up to 30 pounds to facilitate inventory management and customer service.
  • Navigating Stairs: Depending on store layout, must be prepared to go up and down stairs as needed for various functions in the retail space.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, inspire and coach a high‑performing retail team.
  • Build a connected, purpose‑driven culture aligned with the Vivobarefoot values.
  • Handle day‑to‑day people leadership with care, clarity and open communication.
  • Own all store operations running of the store, keeping everything running smoothly and in line with our ways of working.
  • Maintain high standards across visual merchandising, stock management, housekeeping and back‑of‑house the store should feel calm, welcoming and intentional.
  • Take responsibility for health, safety and wellbeing, creating a safe space for both customers and team.
  • Lead the store to meet and exceed sales targets through clear priorities, strong leadership and great customer outcomes.
  • Take a thoughtful, proactive approach to loss prevention, protecting the health of the business.
  • Use insight and data to make smart commercial decisions, manage budgets well and drive sustainable performance.
  • Lead by example on the floor, delivering warm, memorable customer experiences rooted in trust and connection.
  • Listen closely to customer feedback and take ownership of resolving issues with care and integrity.
  • Represent Vivobarefoot authentically living our values and purpose in how you show up every day.
  • Build genuine relationships within the local community, creating loyalty through meaningful, human connection.
