With our newly opened 6,000 to 10,000 square foot showroom and warehouse facility in the Imperial Valley area of Houston, we are expanding our leadership team and seeking a driven Store / Sales Manager to lead operations and accelerate sales performance in one of Texas’ most competitive construction markets. Position Summary The Store / Sales Manager is responsible for overseeing daily showroom and warehouse operations while driving inside sales growth. This role ensures operational excellence, strong customer satisfaction, team leadership, and consistent revenue performance. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with proven sales management experience who can confidently manage both front-end customer engagement and back-end warehouse logistics.

Requirements

  • 3–5+ years of sales management or store management experience (stone, tile, flooring, cabinetry, or building materials preferred)
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Experience managing warehouse or logistics operations strongly preferred
  • Strong leadership and team development skills
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume retail/wholesale environment
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and inventory management software
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Capable of lifting to 50 lbs. and pushing/pulling up to 100 lbs.
  • Able to stoop, kneel, crawl, and work in non-climate-controlled environments.
  • Ability to climb stairs and maintain balance on various surfaces.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and manage inside sales staff to achieve and exceed monthly sales goals
  • Develop and implement strategies to grow residential and commercial accounts across the Houston metro area
  • Build and maintain relationships with builders, contractors, fabricators, designers, and homeowners
  • Monitor sales performance metrics and implement corrective action when needed
  • Oversee pricing strategy, promotions, and inventory-driven sales initiatives
  • Oversee daily operations of the 6,000–10,000 sq. ft. showroom
  • Ensure exceptional customer experience from first contact through order completion
  • Maintain visually appealing displays and organized sample areas
  • Manage scheduling, staffing, and workflow efficiency
  • Supervise warehouse staff and daily slab/material handling operations
  • Ensure accurate inventory management and stock control
  • Coordinate receiving, deliveries, and slab organization
  • Maintain safety standards and operational efficiency
  • Hire, train, and develop inside sales and warehouse personnel
  • Foster a performance-driven, customer-focused culture
  • Conduct performance reviews and ongoing coaching
  • Resolve customer and team issues professionally and decisively
