About The Position

DYS is seeking a Storekeeper 2 at Indian River Juvenile Correctional Facility
Duties may include but are not limited to:
Receive, inspect, sort, store, and distribute stock and supplies throughout the facility; inventory and order supplies, medication, and/or equipment
Complete and maintain shipping, receiving, and inventory records; prepare and oversee preparation of requisition orders; assist in preparation of storeroom budget
Operate pharmaceutical repackaging equipment to count, fill, package, cap, and/or label medication bottles and/or packages; oversee maintenance and maintain repackaging equipment; oversee maintenance of lot numbers and expiration dates
Label and/or price stock items; sample materials for laboratory inspection and approval; transport youth and provide security over youth; unload trucks; operate forklift and/or other equipment to move and store stock or equipment; supervise youth staff

Requirements

• Formal education in arithmetic that includes addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions & percentages
• 6 mos. trg. or 6 mos. exp. in inventory control
• 3 mos. trg. or 3 mos. exp. in OSHA &/or other safety standards & practices applicable to storeroom or warehouse operations
• Employees working in a drug central warehouse or storeroom must pass security screen
• Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.
