About The Position

Morris & Ritchie Associates, Inc. (MRA) is looking for a talented and experienced Civil Engineer or Stormwater Engineer/Designer to join our dynamic Land Group at our Corporate Office in Abingdon, Maryland. This is a full-time position with hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. This position does not have a hybrid or remote option. What You’ll Do: Lead and support the development of innovative design solutions for site layouts, water and sewer systems, roadway and storm drain designs, and more. Prepare soil erosion and sediment control plans, stormwater management and construction stormwater plans, floodplain studies, and grading plans. Collaborate closely with project teams and leadership to meet project goals and exceed client expectations. Utilize your knowledge of Maryland SWM and ESC regulations to guide design and compliance (a strong plus). Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Water Resources Engineering
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD is a must
  • A team-player mindset with the ability to work independently when needed

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Civil 3D, HEC-RAS, or other hydrologic/hydraulic modeling software
  • Experience in stormwater plans and management, floodplain analysis, and knowledge of wetland delineation/design
  • Knowledge of Maryland SWM and ESC regulations
