You must have knowledge of proper hand signals to communicate with crane operator. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Check stock on machines being serviced by the overhead crane; locate stock and direct crane operator to proper bundles for movement to the machines. Must have knowledge of the operation sequences of the commonly run products to make the most efficient use of crane time. Works constantly to minimize downtime on machine being serviced by the crane. Is responsible for proper stacking of material on the floor, loading for cranes and checking bundle tags to verify count. Must be able to identify tubing for job by tube size and gage. Works carefully, observing all safety procedures in strapping bundles, and is constantly aware of floor conditions when working in stock areas and around machinery. Checks slings for damage and wear before strapping loads. All defective slings are to be cut and disposed of immediately. Directs any questions regarding stock location or operation to the shift supervisor as soon as possible. Conscientiously work toward running a safer and cleaner operation. The incumbent is expected to understand that all employees have a shared responsibility for the quality of products and related services provided to our customers. Duties and responsibilities are to be carried out in accordance with the PTC Quality Management System and its policies, procedures, and work instructions as applicable to the job or function being performed.

Requirements

• High School or equivalent
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using while numbers, common fractions and decimals
• Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
• Must be computer literate and able to work with programs such as Word, Excel, etc., and be able to learn and use HP programs such as e-mail, ERP system, etc.
• Must have knowledge of simple computer programming
• Requires excellent measurement skills
• Ability to follow instructions from technical parameters
• Perform duties proficiently and be able to work in a fast-paced environment with ability to handle and prioritize multiple competing tasks and demands
• Must have a strong work ethic
• Must be able to work flexible schedules and hours
• Must be able to safely lift and load 50lbs
• Candidates must be able to tolerate any climate, must be flexible with shift and hours
