As our Strategy Lead, you’ll play a critical role in helping clients identify growth opportunities, align cross-disciplinary teams, and turn insight into action. You’ll guide how we think about audiences, channels, messaging, measurement, and investment—ensuring every decision ladders up to real business impact. Our work spans the full performance ecosystem: media planning & buying, performance creative, SEO & AI search, CRM & automation, and advanced analytics. Every engagement is grounded in board-level KPIs and powered by a repeatable system of interrogation, ideation, implementation, and iteration. In 2025, Level acquired BAM Strategy — expanding our capabilities into digital experience, CRM strategy, personalization, and loyalty. The result is a fully integrated growth engine that connects acquisition to retention, media to lifecycle, and performance to long-term customer value. Today, our 250-person team operates fully remote across North America, supporting 150+ ambitious brands. As Strategy Lead, you’ll shape the strategic direction behind some of our most important client partnerships. You’ll guide discovery, develop integrated growth strategies, and ensure our cross-disciplinary teams are aligned around clear business objectives. Your work will connect audience insights, market intelligence, messaging strategy, channel planning, and measurement frameworks into a cohesive plan that drives results.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in marketing strategy, brand strategy, integrated strategy, or growth strategy.
  • Experience developing integrated, cross-channel marketing strategies.
  • Strong analytical ability to turn research and performance data into insights.
  • Ability to translate business objectives into clear strategic direction.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills.
  • Experience collaborating with media, creative, digital experience, CRM, and analytics teams.
  • Comfort working in complex environments and bringing clarity to ambiguity.
  • Using AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Midjourney) to accelerate research, insight development, and strategic planning.
  • Leveraging AI to synthesize market intelligence, audience insights, and competitive analysis.
  • Applying human judgment to validate, refine, and strengthen AI-generated outputs.
  • Documenting prompts, workflows, and processes that help scale strategic thinking across the agency.
  • Continuously experimenting with how AI can improve clarity, speed, and rigor in strategic work.

  • Partner with media, SEO, CRM, creative, and digital experience teams to shape channel strategy.
  • Align channel mix, sequencing, and investment logic with growth objectives.
  • Define measurement frameworks before activation begins.
  • Help teams interpret performance signals and translate insights into action.
  • Lead strategic narratives in Quarterly Business Reviews and planning sessions.
  • Connect performance data, insights, and business implications into clear recommendations.
  • Serve as a trusted strategic advisor to client stakeholders.
  • Lead conversations around growth opportunities and long-term strategy.
  • Act as the connective tissue across media, creative, SEO, CRM, web, and analytics teams.
  • Ensure strategy is embedded in execution across the entire client lifecycle.
  • Provide frameworks and guidance that strengthen strategic thinking across teams.
  • Help simplify complex challenges and elevate planning quality.
  • Contribute to agency POVs and category insights.
  • Support new business opportunities with strategic storytelling and positioning.
