About The Position

McLarens is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Strategy & Operations Analyst to support the CIO in driving strategic initiatives, improving operational effectiveness, and managing key priorities across the global IT organization. This role is ideal for a high-potential professional in operations, planning, project coordination, business or financial analysis, or a related function. While IT experience is preferred, it is not required. This position offers strong growth potential for someone interested in developing into a future leadership role. Although the position sits within the IT department, it is not a technical IT role and focuses primarily on business operations, strategy, and organizational support.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information technology, Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in operations, planning, business analysis, PMO, or similar roles.
  • Strong analytical capabilities, including advanced Excel proficiency.
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and coordination skills.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Self-starter who can work independently and collaborate effectively across functions and global teams.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with project-tracking tools and data-visualization platforms is a plus.
  • Advanced Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP)
  • Data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar)
  • Experience with project management or tracking tools (Jira, Smartsheet, etc.)
  • Ability to interpret financial reports, budgets, and operational metrics
  • Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to create executive-ready presentations (PowerPoint)
  • Skilled in communicating complex information clearly and concisely
  • Strong stakeholder management across multiple levels of the organization

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and monitor progress on the CIO’s strategic goals and initiatives across global IT teams.
  • Support the development and maintenance of strategic roadmaps, scorecards, and IT operating rhythms.
  • Assist with IT budget planning, quarterly reviews, financial tracking, and cost alignment to strategic priorities.
  • Track IT headcount, organizational structure, and evolving role requirements.
  • Develop dashboards, KPI reports, and data visualization tools to provide leadership with real-time insight into IT performance and priorities.
  • Maintain priority tracking and reporting mechanisms across the IT strategy portfolio.
  • Partner with HR, Finance, and other departments on staffing, compensation coding, cost centers, and operational governance.
  • Serve as a liaison to strategic vendors and partners to support governance and performance tracking.
  • Prepare internal communications, leadership updates, and executive-level presentation materials.
  • Help organize and facilitate IT leadership meetings, workshops, and global town halls.
  • Support cross-functional matrix updates, policy documentation, and key stakeholder coordination across regions.
  • Take ownership of special projects and ad-hoc strategic initiatives from the CIO office.
