HockeyStack is an Applied AI company on a mission to automate sales, marketing, and customer success for B2B companies. We build the most complete and accurate picture of the B2B buyer by integrating with every tool your team uses, partnering with third-party data providers, and deploying custom AI research agents. We use this data to power applications that automate high-value, high-complexity workflows across the go-to-market and revenue teams. Our core products include: Analytics – instantly answers questions like "What led to that sudden drop in pipeline?" Agents – creates a blueprint of each customer's ideal sales process and executes it across every deal, every rep, every day Since launching in January 2023, we’ve come through Y Combinator, raised a $26M Series A led by Bessemer. We’re growing 3× year-over-year, have hit multimillion ARR, and process over 60 TB of GTM data monthly. Based at our San Francisco HQ, we operate fully in-person, move fast and hire people who are ready to win. 🚀 Your Mission We're looking for a Strategy & Operations Associate to take on high-leverage problems across product, operations, strategy, and go-to-market. You'll operate with extreme range — one week you might be scoping a customer project, the next you're building a process from scratch to support our growth. This role is for a sharp, versatile operator who thrives on ambiguity and wants to deliver impact across a broad surface area.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in top-tier strategy consulting, investment banking, or a fast-paced operational role at a startup.
- Solid track record of taking ownership and leading projects end-to-end in unstructured environments.
- Ability to break complex problems into smaller, actionable pieces.
- Strong analytical skills — comfortable working with data to drive decisions.
- Excellent communication skills — you can present a clear recommendation to leadership and stakeholders.
- Low-ego, high-output mindset. You move fast, adapt quickly, and figure things out.
- Excited about in-person work, 5 days per week in San Francisco.
Responsibilities
- Own critical projects end-to-end: define the problem, run deep analysis, make clear recommendations, and drive execution.
- Take on cross-functional work spanning product, operations, customer success, and go-to-market to drive strategic projects with broad business impact.
- Build and optimize scalable processes to support HockeyStack's hyper-growth.
- Work directly with leadership to identify high-priority initiatives and set timelines to reach goals quickly.
- Be proficient with data — use it to frame problems, support recommendations, and track outcomes.
