About The Position

This Strategy & Planning role is responsible for shaping and guiding the Server business strategy through rigorous market and technology analysis, structured planning, and clear executive communication. This role serves as a strategic partner to business unit leadership, translating market signals, competitive dynamics, and financial insights into actionable short‑ and medium‑term strategies. The position plays a central role in coordinating long‑term planning activities across the organization, ensuring alignment between strategy, financial plans, and execution. By building robust analytical models, tracking performance against key metrics, and surfacing clear insights, the role enables informed decision‑making at the senior leadership level. Success in this role requires the ability to synthesize complex information across Compute, HPC & AI, and Nonstop domains, influence cross‑functional stakeholders, and communicate concise, compelling recommendations that drive business outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in strategy, business planning, management consulting, finance, or related roles.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex data into clear insights and recommendations.
  • Proven experience working cross‑functionally and influencing stakeholders without direct authority.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including executive‑level presentations.

  • MBA or advanced degree.
  • Background in strategic planning cycles, investment prioritization, or operational execution frameworks.

Responsibilities

  • Market & Technology Research Stay up to date on market and technology developments related to Server business (including Compute, HPC & AI, and Nonstop) Report on key market developments, including financial performance and product strategy of top competitors
  • Strategy Development & Business Planning Develop and refine short‑ and medium‑term business strategies Support leadership in identifying growth opportunities, risks, and trade-offs through data‑driven analysis and structured problem solving.
  • Long Term Planning (LTP) Coordinate strategy and planning activities and deliverables across BU leadership Partner with Finance, Sales, Product, Operations, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment between strategy, planning, and execution
  • Analytics, Insights & Performance Management Build and maintain analytical models to support planning, forecasting, and scenario analysis. Define business metrics, track performance versus targets, and surface insights and recommendations to senior leaders.
  • Executive Communication & Influence Prepare clear, compelling materials for executive reviews, planning forums, and decision‑making discussions Communicate complex ideas succinctly to senior leadership, enabling informed and timely decisions
