In this role, you will conduct detailed structural analysis of composite and metallic airframe components using FEA methods to assess component performance, fatigue life, durability, and support vehicle-level analysis and configuration management activities
Requirements
- A minimum of 7 years of directly related work experience
- Bachelor of Science in Aerospace or Mechanical engineering or equivalent work experience
- Experience with structural analysis of primary and secondary airframe structure
- Experience with composite and metallic analysis
- Proficiency in NX, CATIA, or SolidWorks
- Experience planning and executing various system tests
- Understanding of Part 23 requirements
Responsibilities
- Perform stress analysis on composite and metallic airframe components, including sizing of detail parts and assessing the strength of primary and secondary aircraft structures and systems.
- Author and release analysis documentation.
- Own and develop airframe level models and analysis.
- Assess new and existing designs by performing strength analysis, supporting drawing release, and preparing analysis reports.
- Evaluate and compare structural efficiency and weight for different structural arrangements and concepts through analysis and trade studies.
- Provide input for structural tests, including test requirements, loads, and predicted results
