About The Position

Janicki Industries is looking for Stress Engineers of all levels to join one of our growing teams. A Stress Engineer would use their experience in design & fabrication, industry standards, and stress analysis to provide design and analysis guidance for composite tooling, metallic tooling, or production part projects. Stress Engineers are responsible for ensuring that the Project Engineering Team is compliant with all internal and external regulations as they pertain to tool strength, stability and structural performance. Stress Engineers are expected to perform design & analysis, project management or assembly activities as needed to support project or Project Engineering Team demand.

Requirements

  • Due to our ITAR and EAR regulations, applicants must be a US Citizen or of Legal Permanent Resident Status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b (a) (3).
  • This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). Janicki will assist with gaining this access once employed. Special Access Program or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position and requires candidate agreed to enter a Continuous Evaluation program.
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is required
  • 1 or more years of experience with stress analysis
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Software is required
  • Minimum requirement for all positions is a high school diploma or GED
  • Must have effective verbal and written communication skills in the English language

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with composites, in a lean manufacturing environment or working with complex aircraft assemblies is ideal

Responsibilities

  • Guides and reviews the development and execution of specific design plans as related to stress analysis
  • Produces stress analysis reports for stress critical designs
  • Builds FEMs (Finite Element Model) and performs FEM analysis
  • Assists in the development in processes, standards, and templates as they relate to stress
  • Coordinates with stakeholders and manages off-load work
  • Communicates and consults with customers, engineers, operations, and other stakeholders
  • Performs design activities as needed to support Project Team requirements
  • Coordinates tool specifications and plan design reviews
  • Enforces industry standards and practices throughout all work performed
  • Performs other duties as assigned
