About The Position

Structural Design Engineer in our Transportation group based in one of our Pennsylvania offices (Douglassville, Harrisburg, Philadelphia, or Pittsburgh) We are seeking a Structural Bridge Engineer, who uses professional concepts in developing resolutions to critical issues. This individual will be responsible to perform design of new bridges and rehabilitation of bridges, and quality assurance. The work will include highway bridges, railroad bridges, and transportation facility structures in Pennsylvania primarily. Primary responsibilities will include: Design & analysis of new and existing bridges, including rehabilitation and seismic retrofit design, and transportation facilities. Participating on Design Build Projects and Pursuits Perform Quality Control and Quality Assurance on Transportation Projects Contract Document production, including drawings and specifications. Bridge load ratings using LRFR and LFD Review of construction phase submittals Required Skills Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering; Master’s Degree is a plus PE License is not required in PA but is a plus A minimum of 3-5 years of experience Knowledge of PennDOT, PA Turnpike projects New Jersey, New York, and other authority experience is a plus. Individual will perform design calculations, develop plan details, quantity take offs, specification writing and other technical report writing. Experience in analysis and design of bridges, including rehabilitation design Experience with MicroStation and STAAD or similar CSI Bridge experience would be a plus OpenBridge Design experience. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering; Master’s Degree is a plus
  • PE License is not required in PA but is a plus
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience
