About The Position

General Summary: The Structural Designer, with supervision from the Manager of Structural Engineering and/or a project engineer, will provide the technical, organizational and communication skills for day-to-day support. The Structural Designer will be involved in the application of engineering fundamentals to design structural framing systems or components thereof at an entry-level basis.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field required
  • E.I.T preferred
  • 3+ years of related experience in the structural engineering field (Master's degree, research work and internships may count towards this experience)
  • Analysis: Risa, RAM, ETABS, and SAP2000 preferred
  • Drafting: Bluebeam and Revit modeling preferred

Responsibilities

  • With direction and assistance, formulate design and/or analysis of structural framing systems and perform necessary calculations
  • Conduct field measuring and checking at construction site to verify existing conditions
  • With direction and assistance, prepare construction documents and communicate with other disciplines to produce a well-coordinated set of construction documents
  • With direction and assistance, coordinate with other disciplines for clash detection and load determination.
  • With direction and assistance, review shop-drawing submittals to assure design intent is met
  • Maintain project files containing project calculations, correspondence, appropriate reference material, and other items
  • Perform related duties as assigned

  • The annual base salary range for this position is $72,000.00 to $82,000.00. Individual pay is based on factors such as relevant experience, job-related skills, education, and training.
