About The Position

General Summary: The Structural Designer, with supervision from the Manager of Structural Engineering and/or a project engineer, will provide the technical, organizational and communication skills for day-to-day support. The Structural Designer will be involved in the application of engineering fundamentals to design structural framing systems or components thereof at an entry-level basis.

Requirements

Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field required
E.I.T preferred
3+ years of related experience in the structural engineering field (Master's degree, research work and internships may count towards this experience)
Analysis: Risa, RAM, ETABS, and SAP2000 preferred
Drafting: Bluebeam and Revit modeling preferred

Responsibilities

With direction and assistance, formulate design and/or analysis of structural framing systems and perform necessary calculations
Conduct field measuring and checking at construction site to verify existing conditions
With direction and assistance, prepare construction documents and communicate with other disciplines to produce a well-coordinated set of construction documents
With direction and assistance, coordinate with other disciplines for clash detection and load determination.
With direction and assistance, review shop-drawing submittals to assure design intent is met
Maintain project files containing project calculations, correspondence, appropriate reference material, and other items
Perform related duties as assigned

The annual base salary range for this position is $72,000.00 to $82,000.00. Individual pay is based on factors such as relevant experience, job-related skills, education, and training.
