About The Position

As a Structural Engineering Designer, supporting our Architecture and Engineering business unit, you will be responsible for designing and drafting structural engineering projects under the guidance of Structural Engineers/Project Managers. Projects will be located throughout the U.S. and will include: steel, concrete, pre-stressed concrete, timber and masonry. As part of a multi-disciplined firm, you will be coordinating with Site/Civil Engineers, MEP Engineers, Architects, and Construction Project Managers. You will be responsible for the production of structural engineering construction documents while adhering to client requirements, code requirements and site adjustments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in structural/civil engineering
  • 4+ years of experience with electrical design for buildings, preferably with commercial projects such as retail, restaurants, grocery, financial, and/or convenience stores.
  • Revit, MS Office required, AutoCAD is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Assist with design tasks and reports under the direction of senior staff.
  • Conduct site feasibility research and site visit investigations as well as generate reports/recommendations based on findings.
  • Assist in maintaining task budgets.
  • Coordinate and assist with addendums, RFI's and change orders.
  • Assist in coordinating the work of a multi-disciplined team throughout the design development and contract document phases of a project.
  • Assist senior staff with the project approval process.
  • Other related responsibilities as necessary to fulfill the objectives of this role.
