About The Position
The Structural Welder is responsible for welding, fabricating, and repairing metal components in a fabrication shop environment. This Structural Welder role involves working from blueprints and specifications to produce high-quality welds while maintaining strict safety and quality standards. The ideal Structural Welder is experienced in multiple welding processes, detail-oriented, and capable of producing structurally sound welds in a fast-paced production environment.
Requirements
- Previous welding or metal fabrication experience preferred
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and measurements
- Knowledge of welding safety procedures and best practices
- Experience with MIG, TIG, and/or Stick welding processes
- Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
- Ability to lift heavy materials and work in a shop environment
Responsibilities
- Perform MIG, TIG, and/or Stick welding on structural steel and metal components
- Fabricate and assemble metal parts and structures according to specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Inspect welds to ensure quality, strength, and structural integrity
- Maintain welding equipment and tools in proper working condition
- Follow all company safety procedures and policies
- Assist with additional fabrication or shop tasks as needed
