About The Position

Three (3) temporary hourly-intermittent student assistant positions available in the University Police Department. Start Date Positions available on or after June 1, 2026 and ending on or before August 14, 2026. Possibility of reappointment based on budget, department needs, and job performance.

Requirements

Undergraduate students must be registered/enrolled in a minimum of six (6) Fall/Spring units.
Post-baccalaureate students in a graduate program must be registered in a minimum of four (4) Fall/Spring units.

Responsibilities

Assist with receiving the public and answering questions, in person and by telephone.
Assist with responding to inquiries from employees, students, and citizens.
Assist with referring inquiries, when necessary, to the appropriate person, or department.
Assist with general clerical duties, entering data into a computer, filing records, sending and receiving faxes, answering telephone calls, and relaying messages.
Assist with picking up, sorting and distributing mail.
Assist with the processing of parking citations.
Assist with cashier payment transactions for UPD and Parking Management Bureau.
Assist with performing Live Scan fingerprint services.
Assist with receiving and transmitting shuttle requests over the radio.
Perform all other duties or projects as assigned
Other duties as assigned.
