Under direct supervision of the Associate Director, the Student Assistant (SA) for Photography/Videography will work directly under the lead work direction of the campus Digital Media Specialists to support various photo and video shoots. This includes assisting in the preparation and transport of equipment, setting up shots, capturing photos and videos, as well as processing and editing the media. The role will also involve color correcting, applying meta data to digital assets and some shooting. The ideal candidate will gain valuable hands-on experience in both photography and videography while contributing to the creation of high-quality marketing content for the university. Responsibilities: Under direct supervision and under the lead work direction, duties include but not limited to: - Assist the campus photographer and videographer during photo and video shoots, including setup and breakdown. - Help carry and organize equipment, ensuring everything needed for shoots is in place. - Capture high-quality photos and videos for university events, promotions, and other marketing needs. - Download, organize, and archive media from shoots. - Edit and process photos and videos using Adobe Photoshop, Premiere Pro, and other software as needed. - Digitize, color-correct, and restore historical images in the university archives. - Collaborate with other team members in the Office of Marketing & Communications to meet project deadlines and objectives. - Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information in a professional manner. - Learn and utilize Wrike (our office’s project management software) for projects and assignments. Minimum Qualifications: Ability to learn and perform assigned work; follow oral instructions; work cooperatively with faculty, staff, and other students; communicate effectively with all levels; and read and write English at a level appropriate to the position. Special Qualification: Admission or registration as a CSU student. Required Qualifications: Maintain a 2.0 G.P.A. or greater per semester and cumulative. Students must be enrolled in at least halftime units at CSUSB (6 units undergraduate; 3 units graduate) International students must have full-time enrollment at CSUSB. (12 units undergraduate; 6 units graduate) Eligible to work in the United States Payroll Requirement: Social Security Card
