About The Position
The Faculty Assistant supports the instructor in Human-Computer Interaction ( HCI ), iOS App Development, or both courses through in-class support, grading, and student help hours.
Requirements
- Completed HCI and/or iOS App Development (or equivalent) with an A- or above, or have evidence of similar experience.
- Reliable communication and ability to commit 5 hours per week.
- Professional, patient, and supportive teaching mindset.
Responsibilities
- Grade assignments, quizzes, projects, and reflections using instructor-provided rubrics.
- Support course logistics in Canvas (posting materials, grades, and feedback).
- Post grades and provide feedback on assignments on Canvas
- Hold walk-in help hours to give targeted feedback on assignment grading and assist students with assignments
- Answer student questions via Slack/email in a timely and professional manner.
