About the position

The Student Marketing Position involves providing education while engaging audiences through compelling content. Responsibilities include monitoring trends, creating content calendars, and participating in collaborative campaigns. Additionally, the position entails creating content for the Business Services website, including press releases, feature stories, photos, and videos. The candidate will coordinate activities and represent Business Services as a key ambassador at informational sessions and tabling events, promoting Business Services projects and campaigns around campus through various creative outlets.

Responsibilities

  • Manage relationships and engage with students and various campus departments via social media.
  • Monitor trends.
  • Create content calendars.
  • Participate in collaborative campaigns.
  • Create content for the Business Services website, including press releases, feature stories, photos, and videos.
  • Coordinate activities and represent Business Services at informational sessions and tabling.
  • Promote Business Services projects and campaigns around campus through social media, canvassing, and tabling.

Requirements

  • Ability to work 15-20 hours per week.
  • Valid Florida Driver's license.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.

Nice-to-haves

  • University of Florida student currently enrolled in Marketing, Communications, or a similar field.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Qualtrics, WordPress, Microsoft Office, Adobe Suite, and Canva.
  • Extensive knowledge of social media platforms including Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments as needed.
