About The Position

Provides clerical and technical support to the Radiology Department under the supervision of the Technical Supervisor or coordinating technologist

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of twelve (12) months education in a JRCERT accredited School of Radiology
• BLS certification
• Twelve (12) months education in a JRCERT accredited School of Radiology

Responsibilities

• Completes aprehensive assessment on patients of all ages under the supervision of a Registered Technologist
• Obtains pertinent medical history from patient by observation or with oralmunication under the supervision of a Registered Technologist
• Performs patient assessment to determine:
• Patient's physical ability to undergo the imaging procedure as needed under the supervision of a Registered Technologist
• What patient care is needed during the procedure under the supervision of a Registered Technologist
• What modification of the procedure may be required by the age of the patient under the supervision of a Registered Technologist
• If t are contraindications to performing the procedure as ordered under the supervision of a Registered Technologist.
