The Student Retention Coordinator is responsible for the development, implementation, and evaluation of a program for increasing retention of students in the undergraduate-prelicensure programs. The individual in this role will work collaboratively with the Associate and Assistant Deans for Undergraduate-prelicensure Education, Pathway Directors, ATI Coordinators, and faculty in developing the retention program including student risk assessment, individual retention plans, academic skills training, remediation strategies, and academic resources. The Student Retention Coordinator will also be responsible for building and managing databases to track outcomes of the retention program, participating in meetings of undergraduate-prelicensure program meetings, training and supervision of tutors, and contributing to curriculum development and revisions to address needs of students at academic risk. The Student Retention Coordinator is also responsible for communication with faculty regarding students at risk for course failure and student progress on individual retention plans. The Student Retention Coordinator will develop connections with campus resources to facilitate student referral to needed support and assistance.
